Strutting into Spring with Sophia Webster

I might be a little slow on this but I’ve recently fell in love with the  British footwear designer, Sophia Webster.  I’m usually quite slow and boring with shoes, always sticking with the classic brands like Manolos, Louboutins and Jimmy Choos but the fun yet elegant designs from Sophia Webster caught my eyes during my last visit to Neiman Marcus.

Her designs reminded me a bit of Charlotte Olympia but in my opinion, Charlotte Olympia‘s designs are too over-the-top and impractical for everyday wear.  You’d have to plan an entire outfit around that pair of $800 that will make you wobble 8 inches above ground-level!  Webster’s designs are a bit more elegant and wearable (that’s as wearable as stilettos go).  The needled-heel will give you another 5 inches but it doesn’t come with the 1.5 inches of platform that most Charlotte Olympia shoes have.  Her designs of butterflies and flowers are fun, young, exciting and PERFECT for the Spring and Summer.

The price point is not outrageous as well – you won’t feel your heart skip a beat every time you take a step in these.  The Yara Patent Butterfly Pump will cost you USD495  while you can have a more comfortable and affordable alternative with the Marcela Flat Espadrille Sandal at USD195.  Lucky for those in the US and UK, Sophia Webster’s official website takes orders and provides shipping (for free to the US!! I think they should advertise this better!!!!).  If you can’t find the style or size you want, Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom also carries the brand!

Happy shopping for Spring and Summer!! Can’t wait to see all those beautiful shoes out and about when it’s warmer! Did I almost forget to mention that she will be collaborating with J Crew??? ❤
